ACSI Training

CCTC has received the approval of The Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) to offer courses for certification or renewal of certification. CCTC is one of four organizations in Virginia to have such approval. The following courses have been approved by ACSI.

Biblical Problem Solving
Biblical Problem Solving provides one of the most comprehensive opportunities available today for you to allow God’s written Word to change your life. This course examines such issues as the source of problems, self-esteem, love, trials, anger, fear and change. It is an intense self-examination experience and requires several hours of independent study.
(3 credits)

Building Biblical Relationships
We live in a culture that teaches us a great deal about prosperity, success, and the need to understand ourselves but has little to say about building and maintaining meaningful, life giving relationships. Building Biblical Relationships offers valuable insight into what God says about relating to the people around us. This course covers topics such as singleness, the roles of husbands and wives, forgiveness and tough love. The course requires several hours of independent study.
(3 credits)

Study of Scripture for Life
How do I understand Scripture that I might Biblically work through my own difficulties, as well as be an encouragement to others? Scripture for Life addresses these issues. This course teaches principles of inductive Bible study while using a workshop-approach. There is a requirement of several hours of Scripture study.
(3 credits)

Parenting From the Heart
“Is there a Biblical model for parenting?” Book after book talks about the difficult task of training children. The objective of this course is to clarify some specific Biblical principles in regard to parenting. This course does not answer all questions, but it helps you to construct a foundation upon which you can build, allowing you to evaluate your relationship with your children in light of the Gospel of Grace. This course requires some independent study.
(3 credits)

Biblical Approach to Team Building
This course is offered to Christian groups who have one goal: becoming a better team. The course will focus on unity and how to build it. We will examine the “condition of our hearts”, discover what love looks like, examine diversity in the body, the causes of conflict, and designs for good communications. There will be time for group exercises and individual thought. This will all be done in a biblical context as we examine the scriptures together.
